Core Structure & Modularity

  • Punch: The upper cutting/forming element that exerts      downward force to shape or pierce the sheet metal. Its tip geometry varies      (e.g., round, square, rectangular) based on the desired hole or feature.

  • Die: The lower mating component with a cavity that      aligns with the punch. It supports the sheet metal during processing and      ensures clean, accurate results by receiving the punch.

  • Stripper: The      stripper plate is a critical component in thick turret CNC punch press      dies, primarily functioning to separate the sheet      metal from the punch after      a punching, forming, or embossing operation, while also ensuring      processing stability and part quality. 

Working Principle

When in use, the CNC system selects the required die set via the rotating turret, positioning it above the sheet metal. The metal undergoes shearing (for punching) or plastic deformation (for forming/embossing) to create the specified feature.
